Westlife star shane filan drums up support for a music festival
as he showed off his skills, on the bodhran
He has teamed up with dervish singer cathy jordan, to launch the
five day, Sligo Live which will attract musicicans from all over
the world.
Proud new dad Shane will be amongst the guests enjoying the
music in his hometown, which starts on thursday and runs until
next monday. Revellers can enjoy free traditional lessons over
the weekend and artists usch as Jason Byrne, and Tom Baxter will
be along the headliners.
Shane,29 said Its fantastic that Sligo,will be the centre of
irish music scene for the next week. We have talent to be proud
of and this is a great wazy to celebrate it "

Shane strikes a
deal
WESTLIFE crooner,
Shane Filan, got a few bodhran lessons from Dervish's Cathy
Jordan ahead of the big pub session trail at this weekend's
Sligo Live Festival.
The popular event kicks off on Thursday 23 and plays on until
Monday 27 October.
